LangTech at the KFLC - Special Events

The Language Technology division of the Kentucky Foreign Language Conference holds a Special Session each year that includes an invited guest speaker and a focus session on a topic of high interest. Starting with LangTech at the KFLC 2012, this special session has been live-streamed to a global audience and video-captured for publication here.

 

Digital Scholarship Colloquium Series

DSC logoThe Digital Scholarship Colloquium (DSC) series provides a venue for campus dialogue among current and future digital scholars at the University of Kentucky. With the goal of encouraging interdisciplinary and inter-college research collaboration, the DSC brings together faculty from across campus who are actively engaged in digital scholarship, and those who are interested in seeing how they might apply digital technology in their own work.

 

Changing the Center of Gravity

The workshop focused on the cyberinfrastructure on which scholarship in Classical studies will increasingly depend. Classics as a field has progressed significantly in the consideration and implementation of cyberinfrastructure, and the collective experience of the Classicists working in this area provides a vision of what has worked in the past and what will be necessary in the future.

 

Online Conference Abstracts

RCH Conference Site logoFrom 2009-2012, through implementation of the Open Conference Systems (OCS) platform from the Public Knowledge Project (PKP), the RCH provided infrastructure to organizations at the University of Kentucky for online publishing of abstracts for conferences on the University of Kentucky campus.
